“ I enjoy driving out of my way to try different restaurants and I’m glad I visited Malaysian hut for Lunch. Chef and owner Irene was very friendly and hospitable, kind reminder for all to call in advance to reserve a table as seating is limited and some items are limited in stock. Although we didn’t know to call to reserve in advance but we got seated upon arrival on Friday. We had Penang char kway teow and nasi lemak. The char kway teow has excellent “wok hei”, also known has Smokey/ charred flavor in Asian cooking. The nasi lemak was full of flavour as well, the two of us cleared the plates and was spoiled with dessert on the house after Irene found out we drove all the way from Burnaby to try her food. We left feeling our tummy and heart was full, thank you Irene for the delicious meal and we left feeling so taken care of. Looking forward to return to try other dishes with the family. ”

“ I knew as soon as we walked up and it said "cash only" we were in for a treat. We quickly walked across the street to the gas station and came back - and we were not disappointed. It's a small place with a few tables. No frills. All flavour. Irene has been here for 27 years for a reason - she makes magic in the kitchen. The menu is simple and the pictures in the menu don't do the dishes any justice. They servings were quite large and beautifully plated. We ate the first main dish so fast we didn't even get a picture and even got another curry tofu dish to go and ate it for breakfast - it was still delish. Highly recommend. ”
“ Irene is the owner and chef and her food is gorgeous. It's like stepping into your neighbour's home and being treated to fresh made on the spot meals. I love the chicken curry, it is the best in BC, trust me I have eaten a lot of places to explore Malaysian food and this is the beat so far. The food is typical Sarawak Malaysian food, one of the best regional food in Malaysia. Go. I highly recommend this time hidden spot, it is a gem. ”

The service is very good and they are very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is small but comfortable, enough space to gather with your family.
